More than 400 mini-cab or private hire drivers were charged with criminal offences last year, Met Police figures show.
In 2015, charges were brought against 413 drivers, with 126 accused of violent or sexual offences.
The figures were released by the Metropolitan Police under Freedom of Information (FOI) ACT.
They showed that between 2011 and 2015, a total of 1,948 drivers were charged with criminal offences.
Some 521 were charged with violent or sexual offences, the Evening Standard reports.
The data also showed how many people were charged who gave their occupation as a minicab driver.
